Missing evidence from triple murder trial from 1998 found

The Oregon Justice Department found evidence that had been missing since the trial of Scott Cannon, who has been behind bars for years. He was convicted in 1999 for the murder of three people, one man and two women, who were found by neighbors, dead and/or dying from gunshot wounds. Scott was a plumber and claimed they were alive when he left and that the man was a meth dealer, who had earned many other dealer enemies. The courts say that this was the second time within five months that the Oregon Justice Department have lost or mishandled evidence.

I don't remember how he got out but yeah. It's crazy not knowing whether he actually did it or not, and now he's loose.
